(73) Remote-operated cranes/equipment must be equipped with an "emergency stop" system, located at the operator's remote station, to provide the means to remove power from the crane in the event of a malfunction. (74) A preventative maintenance program must be established based on the recommendation of the crane/equipment manufacturer. - section, that person's employer must have a discussion with the site supervisor regarding the ground preparations that are needed so that, with the use of suitable supporting materials/devices (if necessary), the requirements in subsection (35) of this section can be met.
