Accountability — field to management, management to field
You are going to save so much valuable time that you’ll look back and say, why didn’t I do this sooner? I have not yet to meet anyone to say, ‘Oh, I want to go back to paper.’ It is just absolutely essential for us now.
Ketza Construction is a total solutions general contractor with over 50 years of experience, headquartered in Whitehorse, Yukon. Founded in 1975, Ketza has grown from its roots in the North into a group with sister organizations across British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.
They deliver commercial, institutional, industrial, and multi-residential projects — many of them in remote northern climates where logistics are hard, conditions are harsh, and a safety tool that doesn’t work without reliable connectivity isn’t a safety tool at all.
Operational safety turns field work into usable proof.
Bankers boxes and a two-day support wait
Ketza had already tried going digital, but their previous provider had the right idea and the wrong execution. Meanwhile, remote jobs across BC and the Yukon kept generating mountains of paper with nowhere useful to go.
Support that killed trust
Two-day response times on support tickets. Software updates lagging behind hardware changes. Constant glitches accumulating into a death-by-a-thousand-cuts experience.
Bankers boxes of buried data
Three- and four-month remote deployments produced bankers boxes of paper — thousands of pages per job that needed sorting and filing. Whether you could locate a specific document was a coin flip.
Support in minutes, accountability that runs both directions
Support in minutes, not days
Customer support queries answered within hours, often minutes. Senior supervisors gave immediate positive feedback.
Accountability in both directions
The deeper shift was cultural — accountability running in both directions. The field trusts the platform because the platform trusts the field.
When a foreman asked for a form change, the admin could open the dashboard editor, make the adjustment, and tell the foreman to refresh. The request and the solution happened in the same conversation.
Same-day support, zero bankers boxes
Safety program effectiveness
- ✓Bi-directional accountability — field to management and management to field — documented and visible
- ✓Real-time form edits deployed in a single conversation — requests and solutions happen simultaneously
- ✓Younger workers and supervisors engaged because their input is recorded and acted on visibly
- ✓Every submission timestamped, trackable, and impossible to lose — hazard reports never slip under desks again
- ✓COR certification ready — all documentation organized, searchable, and audit-accessible
Productivity gains
- ✓Eliminated bankers boxes entirely — from multiple boxes per project to fully digital
- ✓Same-day support on every query, often within 10 minutes (down from 2-day response times)
- ✓Eliminated manual counting, recording, and statistics compilation from paper documents
- ✓All project documentation organized in one place — no one needs to call and ask where anything is filed
The workflows behind the result
Each result traces back to a specific way field work was captured, routed, and made visible.

Responsive Support Model
Ten-minute response times — often resolved same-day. Ketza’s previous provider took two days. When your crews work in northern BC and the Yukon, you can’t wait 48 hours for a fix. SALUS’s support model treats construction timelines like construction timelines: urgent.

Real-Time Form Editing
Ketza needed a form change. The edit happened during a single conversation — not after a support ticket, not after a two-week queue. The form was modified and redeployed while they were still on the call. That’s responsiveness that eliminates the gap between request and result.

Digital Accountability — Bi-Directional
"You can’t burn that piece of paper." SALUS creates accountability that runs both directions — field to management and management to field. When a worker submits a hazard report, it’s documented, time-stamped, and visible. When management responds, that’s visible too. No more reports lost under desks.

Offline-First for Northern Climates
BC, Yukon, Northwest Territories — Ketza works where connectivity is a luxury. SALUS auto-saves locally and syncs when signal appears. The platform was built for the places where other platforms fail — not adapted for them after the fact.

More from Ketza Construction
I would get bankers boxes, multiple bankers boxes from three four month long jobs. Then I got to go through count, record, mark down statistics. Are there any errors? Holy, how come this wasn’t done or addressed back then? Maybe there was a comment from a worker, hey, I need a new harness or this was broken. A hazard report and it slipped under a desk or it got stacked in a bunch of invoice paperwork that was on the superintendent’s desk, right? This way it’s everything is exactly where it needs to be and everyone knows where to look for it. Just makes things so much speedier.
If you save something on software, you can’t burn that piece of paper. So again, there’s accountability. Accountability from the field to management, accountability from management to the field. You have an accurate tracking system. Nobody can say I don’t have it or it wasn’t available to me. It’s there.
